Drains a small amount of life from the world around him at all times; this manifests primarily through dry patches in the grass and a chill in the air. (It's not harmful to humans unless you, like, cuddle with him every night for a month.) 15 Second Summary A scrawny teenager with pale olive skin and dark circles under his eyes. Prefers dark clothing and bomber jackets. Abilities & Permissions Abilities Commands the dead and can see how you've died, if that's a thing that's happened to you. (If you want to play with that, let me know.) Summons skeletons out of the ground. Teleports via shadows. Summons cute fluffy incarnations of his trauma. General spooky vibes. He will only have the death aura and vision at first. I think it'd be real funny if he can accidentally Ella Enchanted the local vampire population once he gets teh skill back, but it's extremely optional. Permissions The kid is 16, so let's keep everything PG-13 in general. Relationships should be age-appropriate. Violence is fine but let's offscreen the gnarly bits. So! Being the demigod son of the Greek god of the dead, Nico has a certain ~connection~ to dead people. If your character is any of the below:

1) Dead/died in canon but alive here
2) Is undead/Underworld-aligned or otherwise life-impaired in Sheep now
3) Has died in Sheep
4) Is canonly going to die in the near future

... please comment here to let me know know if a) Nico can sense that from them and b) what (if anything) he can see about the cause of their death (appears to him in the form of black splotches on the spots where the mortal wounds occur). This can be metaphorical or literal or whatever, you decide!

Also! In canon Nico can command the dead as well, though that typically only applies for mooks and other unnamed NPCs. If your character is/was dead and you want them to feel compelled to obey Nico, go for it! Otherwise I'll assume that that particular trick doesn't apply to your character.

Both of these effects are COMPLETELY opt-in. He will only notice/command dead people who have responded to this post (or if it comes up and I message ahead of time to confirm it's okay). Otherwise, we'll blame conflicting mythologies on the reason why he can't see anything.

Visible cause of death: Description here, or N/A if you don't want him to see anything! He can know someone's dead without seeing their wounds.
Command level: N/A if you don't want any kind of influence, or describe how much you want Nico to be able to affect your character! Anything from "this kid seems extra nice for some reason" to "kill all the Japanese" kind of geas is okay by me. You can also have it apply on a thread by thread basis, or whatever you feel like.

In Greek mythology (and PJO canon), oaths on the River Styx are sacred and cannot be broken.

A list of oaths on the River Styx that Nico has made in Court:

• To release Kano from servanthood if he ever decides he doesn't like it


• Swearing to protect Kano as part of his master/servant oath


• Swearing to help the Akuma of Robin's world (or find a way to help her do so)


• Swearing to protect Al from Mirror (by escaping with him)
